Lunch n' Learn Series-Renewable Enery at ACUA

Join The Tuckerton Seaport, in conjunction with the Jacques Cousteau National Estuarine Reserve, every 2nd Wednesday of the month for our Lunch n' Learn Series from September to May at 9:30 and 12:30. Entrance into a Lunch n' Learn session is $2.00 per person at the door, if you bring lunch or $6.00 if you take advantage of our lunch option at 12:30. (Registration is required for lunch option two days in advance.)
This Wednesday - "Renewable Enery at ACUA" - Richard S. Dovey, President of the Atlantic County Utilities Authority
The ACUA has been nationally recognized for excellence in innovation, effeciency and environmental stewardship. As a strong proponetn of renewable energy, ACUA President Richard Dovey initiated many of ACUA's green projects, such as a 500-kilowatt solar project, a landfill gas to electricity project, South Jersey's first compressed natural gas (CNG) station and, most notably, the construction of the wind farm at ACUA's Wastewater Treatment Facility. The 40 million gallon-per-day wastewater treatment plant is located in Atlantic City, New Jersey and the regional sew-erage collection system srves 14 municpalities throughout Atlantic County. Dovey will discuss more about New Jersey's first wind farm, other renewable energy projects, and plans for the future.
